Watching in horrified, yet delighted awe, he saw a creature emerge on all fours from the dripping shadows.  A hybrid human-lizard with a slimy greenish-blue head, torso and arms, but its long, muscular legs covered with thick grey scales.  A hairless, reptilian head, slanted colourless eyes with elliptical pupils like some kind of bizarre cat, and flat vertical slits instead of a nose, it hissed from a lipless mouth, a long pale tongue flickering around its chin.
